U S 23 is the location of the car wrecks early in the movie. This U S route runs north and south through several states, including where I live here in Kentucky. The story takes place in New York State. There is no U S 23 in New York. Anyone with a map would have caught this. After some research, I discovered the movie had to be filmed in Michigan. I ruled out the southern states, the terrain didn't fit. Any other road sign probably wouldn't have caught my attention, but this one was so obvious.
