Three Musketeers, The - Athos? I Don't Think So.
When Athos sees his wife Milady DeWinter, just as the Musketeers intercept the ship at Calais, he says "Sabine" (her first name?) and she says "Athos"- only problem is, Athos was not his real name, but a pseudonym given to him by the king to hide his identity (ditto the other musketeers.) Since he became a musketeer after leaving Sabine, and she has not seen him since, there is no way she would have called him Athos! (His real name was Le Comte de la Fere.)

You're confusing Dubas' book with the Disney movie. This movie did NOT follow the book one bit (which is not a criticism . . . they did a rather delightful rewrite). Since there is absolutely no mention of Athos having any name other than Athos in the movie, you can not assume that this portion of book is correct, since MANY other portions were not held.

I think you are confusing the movie with the book. Nowhere in the movie does it bring that name out. So If I was you I would go put that slip-up on the slip-ups for the books not movies. I loved the movie and I don't appreciate your slip-up. Okay!
