in the begining, there is a guy drilling a drill into the ground. In the background, there are 2 tents and some supplies. When the ice cracks, the camera zooms out and from that view, there are no tents or equipment. The crack in the ice MAY have caused the stuff to fall, but I doubt it.
I'm not sure about your copy, friend, but I just rewatched mine because I had to see a slip-up of that magnitude and...well, the equipment is still there. On the left is the trailer and a Sno-Cat, the fissure, and on the right side of the fissure is a small semi-circle of tents and a little bit of clutter. As the "camera" draws back, they fall out of focal distance, but that's a rendering issue. As far as I can tell, the stuff's still there.
I used an ordinary Sharp DVD player's zoom function, level two zoom.
