O.C., The - Where's the Ringing?

This mistake can be found in Episode 8 of the O.C. (The Rescue), around 13:30 minutes in (not accounting for Adverts - try the DVD copy).

In this scene, Seth is constantly distracting Ryan as he's studying for his school aptitude test. Suddenly, a few seconds after Seth has shut up, Ryan looks up again. Seth says "Don't move, I'm gonna get that", before walking over and picking up the phone.

The only problem is, the phone didn't actually ring, so neither Seth or Ryan could ever have known it was being called, and Ryan couldn't have been distracted. It looks like the Sound Guy wasn't paying too much attention in this episode!

Tara May writes:: I watched that episode last night.The phone did ring,i heard it loud and clear.Plus Ryan didn't take an aptitude test,if you refer back to when the teacher says he has to take a test,she said,"it's not an aptitude test,so we're not marking on how smart you are."(not a direct quote but along those lines) So it was merely a test to see what he's learnt,like a progress report/test.Maybe you should watch the episode again.cheers; 15 of 6576 found this helpful.
