Chicago - Monorail in the 20s?
I gather this movie is set in the 1920s, but when Roxie and Fred Casely are going back to her apartment during 'All That Jazz', the camera views Chicago's cityscape with old 1920s cars, but an obviously modern MONORAIL is in the centre of the screen! I thought they could have at least edited that out as anyone can see that they didn't get electric monorails 80 years ago.

This is only the Elevated Railway, which was in place at the time.

in chicago we have an elevated subway system called the "L." the very first one being completed in 1888. so it was definetely around in the 1920's. regarding your specific comment about it being "modern"....im going to have to take a look at the cars on the L to see how they look. so far, no slip up.
