Watch for the scene towards the end where Jeff Bridges is in the cellar and is lying on his back and the spider begins to crawl up Jeff's left leg.

Look closely at the shot where the camera is looking at Jeff and the spider is crawling up his thigh. In the bottom left of the screen you can clearly see the piece of wood sticking out of the back of the spider and the hand holding the wood!
