Watch the movie and near the end when the kid lands his F-16 to rescue his dad. While on the ground the kid fires a missile from his F-16. Firing a missile from an F-16 on the ground isn't possible.
This is indeed true. Aircraft have very strict programming that prevents any type of mishap such as that happening. The pilot has absolutely no capability to do such a thing. The same goes for Independence Day when the cropduster guy "accidentally" arms his missile by pressing the number 3 or something. Of course, maybe I just know too much about jet fighters.
