Midway - A Different Angle
At many points in the movie, you get an overhead view of aircraft launching, or landing on both American and Japanese carriers. All these shots clearly show the carriers to have angled flight decks. US Carriers weren't equipped with angled flight decks until after the end of the Second World War, and Japanese carriers were never equipped with angled flight decks.
