In the scene where Peter and Mary Jane are talking in a snack bar, Dr. Octopus comes and throws a car through the window. Then, Peter jumps and catches Mary Jane to protect her. As he does it, you clearly see that Mary Jane is... a dummy.
Well, since her left arm clearly moves up and wraps itself around Peter as he grabs her, either this is an extremely advanced & articulated "dummy" or you are mistaken.
