When Richard Gere and Julia Roberts are sitting at breakfast the next morning, first she is eating a croissant...then it is a pancake when we see her next!
That so called slip up has been recycled over and over. Just so you know, THAT NEVER HAPPENED.

I've watched this movie several times, and always get a chuckle at that scene, when she is shown eating a croissant, then a pancake. I'm sorry, dear, but it is in there.

Yes, this DID happen in the movie, but guess what? It's not a slip up. I wondered the same thing myself, til I finally used my common sense....The girl was hungry, so she ate both a croissant AND a pancake! Wow, I can't believe nobody realized that.......what a shame....I not only watch this movie like every single weekend, but I quote it often.

ACTUALLY, she put down the croissant, and started eating the pancake, we just never see her put it down, we are just supposed to assume that she did. The actual mistake is the disappearing bites in the pancake.

Okay, if you actually watched the movie, he orders, and even says "I didn't know what you'd like, so I ordered everything on the menu" so, she isn't to..well off...so she isn't use to all that food there, so she stuffs her mouth full with different things and at every shot, she's trying something new.

Yes this scene with the pancake/ croissant Is slip up , because Garry Marshall the Director of the film mentions It , In his directors Commentary on the DVD, the reasoning behind what he calls a "mismatch" Is you should always pick the best performance.
