If you watch towards the end at Lucy's farewell party at work when Lucy and her replacement (the girl with the red hair) are fighting over the stapler and Mr. Wade grabs Lucy and takes her into the breakroom or what ever room it is and she is still holding the stapler. Then some how the stapler ends up on the other side of the coffee machine. Then at the end of their conversation Lucy is playing with the stapler again. If you pay close attention you will notice it.
