The second sword was the prince's sword, I don't remember his name. You don't expect him to knight someone with someone else's sword do you?

If I remember right when Prince Edward steps forward and opens his cloak he already has a sword under it.So why would he need another one.

I noticed this too...It appears that he pulls the SAME sword out...they are all in the crowd and then the prince comes out and the guys follow him, and the one pulls out his sword, then it shows William again, then it goes back to the crowd and it APPEARS that he pulls out the same sword from the same sheath...

I rewatched the movie to see a few of these slipups (or lack thereof). For this particular one, the original poster is correct. When the Prince lowers his hood & removes his cloak, the two men beside him also lower their hoods & open their cloaks. The one on the right of the screen draws his sword (it appears the one on the screen left is fumbling as if having trouble with his cloak or sword). The camera then shifts to Chaucer staring in surprise as the crowd quiets. Then it cuts back to the Prince as he steps forward and the man to the right of the screen is seen once again drawing his sword. And, for clarification, when the Prince goes to knight William, he draws his own sword...no one hands it to him.
