Matrix Reloaded, The - Oops - Too Soon!
Near the end of the movie, when Link runs around to unplug Morpheus to let him know that Trinity went back in (during Neo's meeting with the Architect), watch the part when Morpheus' chair is automatically moving back up. You'll see Morpheus open his eyes for a split second and look around. Then when the scene changes, they're closed, as if he's still jacked in. If you recall, consciousness does not come back until the jack is removed.

Wrong, if you 'recall', you can still be awake when plugged in. Example: The first movie, when Neo is training with Morpheous, he tells him/shows him how the world really is... When they exit him from the program, he opens his eyes then tries to get up with it still in his head, they have to hold him down for a couple of seconds to take it out, all the while he is fighting them off.

The jack can still be all the way in. All they have to do is make sure they are out through the exit and then they are out of the matrix. Then they gain conciousness, usually right after they are out. They take the jack out so it seems like it brings back conciousness.
