Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - Glasses Warrior
Towards the end where Aragorn is giving the long speech about bravery and whatnot the camera scans over the tired and weary soldiers. This is where the slip-up happens. There is a "wider" angle of the footmen and it is the second look at the men. If you freeze it right then you will see that the foot soldier in the middle is wearing HUGE glasses. I figure if you're gonna kill and orc you have to see it.
There is no one wearing glasses in any of the movies. What you see is the helmet of a Rohirim. Most helmets of that "time period" often had a nose bridge or the top half of the face covered.
I have to agree with Lollindier (I hope I got the name right). Its a kind of Rohirim helmet that has a rim below the eyes, like big glasses. I realised it when I saw TTT EE and saw other rohan soldiers wearing helmets like that.
Although there is no one wearing glasses, what this person saw is not a helmet, the helmets are very obviously not glasses, but there is a man wearing only mail on his head with dirt around his eyes that looks like the frames of glasses. Pause it, you'll see, he's on the left. (on the extended DVD: 1:13:47.
Lolindier's comment could be considered correct, if not for the fact that the solider in question was NOT actually wearing a helment, but rather a kind of chainmail hood. I'm looking at the frame right now. On the Extended DVD of RotK, its exactly 1:13:47 into the second disc.
