Pirates of the Caribbean (The Curse of the Black Pearl) - Elvish Tattoo on a Pirate?
When Will and Jack are fighting in the beginning, Will says; "I practice three hours a day so that when I meet a pirate I can kill it!" Well when he says this if you look at his wrist you can see the Elvish tattoo for 9 on it.
The elven tatoo is on his lower arm, not wrist. In this scene Orlando Bloom is wearing long sleeves, which come down to his wrists and so the tatoo can't be seen.
To let you know there was an interview done with Orlando Bloom which is on his web site www.theorlandobloomfiles.com where he states that in that scene you can in fact see his tattoo.
i have to disagree with you becuase it is onhis wrist and if you look very closely you can see it. you may have to puase it when Orlando and Depp are both cought with there arms up and when the shot is on Bloom puase it and look at his Wrist you will see it. though it is only there for one shot.
Also the tatto is from The Lord Of The Rings all the people that were in the movie got tattos.
I think thats being a little too critical upon this movie, I mean yes, there are some obvious things that could have been avoided, and yes, he could have used make up or something to cover it up, but please people, its TATOOED on his skin he cant just remove it.
According to IMDB.com: Will has a tattoo on his wrist which is visible in some shots. We are not told that Will is free of tattoos and the fact that *we* know it to be an "elvish" nine is of no consequence - it's just a pretty pattern. So this is not really a slip-up.
I saw this the other day as I was watching the movie. Yes, if you look close enough you can see Orlando Bloom's tattoo. It is a slip up because Bloom could have used cover up so it could not be seen.
