When Kimbal and his partner are informing Dominic's mother (Kimbal's new girlfriend)that the bad guy is on his way, she runs away in her SUV. You will notice, though, that the car is already running when they get in and she turns the ignition. You can tell because you can see the smoke coming out of the tailpipe.
