In the beginning of the famed masterwork of horror 'Evil Dead 2' the narrator explains that the source of all the trouble the viewer is about to witness is the Book of the Dead, or as he puts it, "Necronomicon Ex Mortis". Literally translated, this is "Book of the Dead Of Of the Dead". "Necronomicon" may literally translate to "names of the dead" but since most magical books read like the Yellow Pages, this part is acceptable (and because of the word's established meaning as "Book of the Dead" in the writings of H.P. Lovecraft, among others). Raimi and Spiegel should have left it as it was, they overcooked it.
