This has annoyed me since the first time i saw the movie. After the first day of school, Sarah is watching the football team practice when the girls ask her to go shopping with them. She tells them "But i dont have any money" and goes along with them. If she has no money how does she hand the woman in the shop a $20 bill for the books and candles?
You are absolutely correct. I just watched this movie for the millionth time and I even rewound the tape to make sure. She does say, " I dont have any money." They say, "We get a five finger discount" and then the woman in the shop says are you going to pay for that, and she pulls out money...big slip up, but maybe it was intentional...I dont know..
earlier, she had been told by Chris all about the girls being witches and to stay away from them. obviously she lied to them because maybe she didn't want to go. she just tried to make up an excuse not to go but it backfired and she just decided to go anyway
Sara lied to Rochelle, Nancy, and Bonnie because Chris told her that they were witches and he told her to stay away from them. That was a good idea anyway.
I agree with the_sums, chris told sarah not to hang around with them or whatever because they're weird so she lied at first and then just gave up and went with them.
