At the end of the movie where Nicolas Cage is killed, he dies with his eyes open. Then, the camera looks at another guy then looks back at him, and his eyes are closed. How about that?
It is quite possible that when they cut away to the other guy, Kahzee closed Enders eyes. I have seen this before. Someone will push a dead persons eyelids closed so their eyes are not staring out at everyone.
