Turn to page 86 in the american paperback version. Thats in the chapter called "Skeleton Crew". At this point Dolph has just fallen into the ocean and he's been caputred by Mela Merwoman.

Marrow,Grace'l, and Chex are talking about how to rescue Dolph.

Right after it says..

"Marrow found fleshwas not hideos when it was where it obviously belonged."

Then the next sentence reads

" 'So we must rescue him', Dolph concluded."

Is there two Dolphs? I thought Dolph was with Mela! How is he up there talking abot himself?
