In the scene when Dottie is on stage at the talent show and is singing the song about the seal girl, she throws her flipper off stage into the audience. About two seconds later, in the next shot, she is singing, with the flipper on her hand!! Wait a second!!
My guess is that maby someone in the audience,close to the stage must have tossed back the flipper to Macy and she caught it while she was singing.
