In this 1981 film directed by John Huston, the last half hour of it is taken up by a soccer match between the Allies and the Nazis ~ a grudge match if ever there was one and one that would not be sanctioned by FIFA. Max von Sydow portrays the soccer loving Nazi officer who arranges this game and he can be seen sitting in the stands during the periods in which Huston cuts away from the action to get crowd reaction. Pay close attention to one of the guards standing behind Von Sydow and you will notice that he is almost always fiddling with his gun holster. The reason for this is that the holster is empty ~ a slipup which can be borne out by the fact that no pistol or revolver butt can be seen to be poking out of the bottom of the holster.
