Friends - Isn't It Supposed To Be Midnight?

Okay, in "The One With All The Resolutions", there is a New Years party and Monica's in the opening scene before the opening credits. It is close to midnight, but look closely at Monica's window by her sink ,and the sun is cleary seen shining. The sun doesn't shine at midnight.
