At the point of the movie when Val is racing towards the CAT and the Graboid hears him, he is forced to freeze so he doesn't get slurped. But when we see him up close his legs are spread at the least a foot or more apart. But when we see him from the point of view of those on Walter's roof he is standing with his legs together like a guard at Buckingham Palace. Then we see him up close again with his legs back apart. If he had moved like that he would have been dead. Sorry...
