When Quoyle, his daughter and Aunt are on the ferry to Newfoundland, you see the whole boat, look for the Newfoundland flag "sign". ( It is not an actual flag but a board on the upper side of the boat). The "sign" is wrong. The flag has been turned around. The blue of the flag should be on the left side but as you will clearly see it is on the right. This is about 20 minutes or so into the movie.

No one would notice it unless you are an actual Newfoundlander. Which I am.
