OK when the professer is trying to feel Elle up, she is sitting there with her legs crossed. On the top knee there's a hole in the panty-hose, then as the professor is coming to sit down, there's no hole.

Elle leaves the papers she was carrying behind because she was already planning in her head she was quiting and didn't care about the folders. And then went to get her briefcase in another room.
