When the Goonies first get to the basement Chunk heads for the water cooler that is half full.Then when the camera changes it's almost full,then when it falls on and breaks it's half full again.

and yes, after he breaks the water and it trickles down the tunnel, there is no more water. not on the floor or in the tunnel with the kids.
