Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - It's a Small World, After All!
When the news reader is talking about the rush for Wonka Bars, he quotes 'Which ever of the 5 continents we're on.......' I was taught that there were 7 continents!
Well, if you count only North America, South America, Eurasia, Australia, and Africa, it fits quite nicely. Maybe that's a little too convenient, but I think that's what they meant.
I'm still pissed that they did not hold the contest in the North Pole. Im freezing my Oompa Loompas off and I still can't get a golden ticket. Hope everyone caught the sarcasm. Just a little joke for everyone to enjoy. Unless penguins and polar bears are buying Wanka bars they wouldn't hold the contest in Antarctica. Now turn up the heat and pass me a blanket.
There were not always 7 continents. at the time that this movie was made there were only 5 land masses that were actually called continents. so this is definatly not a slip-up.
