In the final Chariot Race, it is where the person is thrown from the Chariot. As the people rush in to check on the person, you can hear someone off screen say "Get an Ambulance". This line would not be part of the actual script because during that era of time, they did not have ambulances.
The reason you hear "call an ambulance" is because that was not a stunt you witnessed, that crash was not in the script. And unfortunately, the actor died from his injuries.
For about the millionth time, nobody died during the filming of Ben Hur. When somebody said "Get an ambulance", they were probably referring to the stretcher that the injured guys were carried out on.
ya someone did die...u could tatlly see that the feet hit the guys head almost its like his back broke and he was like a rag doll.....but i dont know y they kept the scene in there though !

Nope, no one died during the filming of Ben-Hur. A stuntman named Yakima Kanutt was seriously hurt during the chariot race and had to retire from stunt work.
