In a recent episode (2001), which involved a murderer who's weapon of choice was a bill-hook, and who's choice of music was a jazz dance from the 40's, you may remember the inhabitants of Midsomer playing a small tournament of a game which involved knocking a clay shape from a metal post as many times as possible with six throws of wooden sticks. It is very important that you remember that you get six sticks to throw. The mistake itself occurs when Barnaby steps up for his turn. You see different views of three sticks each knocking off the clay thing. You then see a view of Barnaby himself. He has three spare sticks under his arm and another one in his hand. That is four. But if he already threw three of them, then shouldn't he only have two under his arm if there is one in his hand. Maybe he gets an extra throw because he is an amateur.
