The town gathers in the church for a town meeting about the railroad. At the end of the meeting Jessie and the group get in a circle. Very noticable over the group is a microphone. Something that wouldn't be present at a town meeting in the 1800s.
Just so you know, American Outlaws is my all-time favorite movie and I am willing to bet that I have seen it many more times than you have. Well, I watched it a couple times after I read your comment and I just don't see it. Either you need to get your eyes checked, or you have to clean your television screen.
I have seen this movie more times than I can count and I agree with Kateapilar. I have a big-screen tv and I don't see it. Trust me, there is no microphone. You probably just saw something that looked like it.
