In the episode where Sam is in Vietnam, look carefully at the photos the photographer snaps. The one she takes of the POWs has them facing AWAY from the camera. However, when the photos are shown at the end of the episode, the face of the POW (Al) is FACING the camera!
This isn't correct. There is a scene where you can see one of the POWs look at the camera briefly while she's snapping the shots. The photo at the end is just zoomed, but there is a second where one of the POWs looks at the camera for a moment. It's like 1/3rd the way through the episode.
Just to second the first comment...the show made it pretty clear that the younger Al DID look bad toward the camera just as he was being led into the woods, right as Maggie was taking pictures. And it was so carefully matched up that it actually looks like they actually took pictures from where Maggie was during this scene.
