Volcano - It's Too Dang Hot!
Throughout the picture, people are standing less than ten feet from hell's fire and not even breaking a sweat? What the heck? Lava is one of (if not) the hottest substances on earth and yet people are roasting marshmellows and hot dogs near it. I have dealt with fires myself on many an occasion and it actually begins to cook the skin when standing about ten feet away; so standing that close to lava would be like walking into an oven set at well over 2000 degrees.

It does cook the skin. My dad is a volunteer fire fighter, so I've heard all about it. All of those people would be SO blistered and stuff.

2000 degree's my rear! Unless you mean farenheiht that is. That sort of lava at it's hotest will reach 800 degrees centigrade/celsius. And in the film they're standing next to a flow that traveled some so it will have cooled down, so in fact they would be able to happily stand next 10 feet away from the flow.

dipplet----i just converted the 800 degree celcius and it comes out to being 1472 degrees fahrenheit. so your response that it cant get to 2000 degree f. is debunked. :-)
