Elvira's Haunted Hills - Elvira's Magic Boots
Near the beginning of the movie Elvira is riding in a horse carriage with a doctor on her way to a castle. During the conversation Elvira removes her long laced-up boot and the doctor is holding her foot. Just then the carriage hits a bump and the doctor is tossed onto Elvira. They hit another bump and Elvira is tossed back onto the doctor. Then Elvira says "I didn't know this was going to be 'Mr. Toad's Wild Ride!'" She opens the carriage door to get out as they are riding along a cliff. The next shot is a point-of-view shot as Elvira looks down at her feet dangling over the cliff as she hangs onto the carriage, only now her boots are both back on her feet! These aren't easy slip-on boots either. Rather old-fashioned long, lace-up boots that take some time to put on. I mentioned this slip-up to Cassandra Peterson (Elvira) at the screening in Atlanta, GA and she said she hadn't noticed this one before, but said it was a good slip-up!
