Go to the seen near the middled of the movie, were the are having a press conference. When the sheriff asks if there are any questions, Gale raises her hand. The sheriff said "Yes, Gale Thunderstorm?" I thought her names was Gale Hailstorm.
This is not a legit slipup. He says this because this movie is a comedy. In lots of movies, people will get names wrong because its part of the script. Sorry, your slipups not real. (P.S. I voted for a 0/10 on the rating!)
Yeah, the whole point of the movie was to send up the teen slasher genre... So goofing around with people's names is surely part of that, to make the original names sound dumb. The irony is that the directors of films like scream claim that THEY'RE the ones doing the send up!!
Well HELLO of course they messed up her name. Haven't you ever seen that done before? It was intentional. Have you seen Sister Act 2, where Mr. Crisp is always calling Mary Clarence all sorts of different stupid names? It's part of the script, I'm sure. Duh.
