At the beginning of The Green Berets, it starts off at the Kennedy Special Warfare center at Ft. Bragg with a Green Beret "A" team introducing themselves to some reporters. It then cuts to a briefing scene where we first see John Wayne. The next scene shows him outside getting into his jeep. There are tons of "airborne" soldiers undergoing training here. John Wayne even yells to these airborne trainees. Now the Army conducts Airborne school at Ft. Benning GA, even during the timeframe of this movie. I went through the school myself and what it was shot at Ft. Benning. Anyone who went through Army Airborne school could see that. John Wayne gets in the jeep and "drives" over to the first scene as the "A" team is still making introductions to the reporter....but this is in Ft. Bragg!! John Wayne has a really fast jeep!
