Goonies, The - The Octopus
In the last scene of the movies, the group of kids were explaining the events that happened to them while finding the treasure. Data says that they encountered an octopus on their adventure. They never encountered an octopus throughout the movie. But if you take a look at the outtakes on the DVD, there is a scene where there is an octopus while swimming to the ship. That scene should have been in the movie or the line should have been edited out.

I have seen the movie "The Goonies" many times, and every time I watch it I see the octopus scene. You must have missed it.

You must have the unedited version of the movie. My version doesn't have the octopus, but when I saw it on TV there was an octopus scene.

Andie, on some versions of The Goonies, there ISN'T an octopus scene and on others there is.

From what I understand there are two different versions, and the one that has the octopus scene is the Disney version, in which Data saves Mouth and Steph (I think it's them) from the octopus... I've actually never scene this scene myself, since I own and grew up watching the other version with the scene deleted.

I grew up watching this movie and still have the tape... which was recorded off of HBO or something like that almost 20 years ago.... and the octopus scene was missing. It was shown not long ago on TBS and it was there along with a scene I hadn't seen before where they were all in some sort of general store or convenience store together. Different versions were obviously aired.

This is so funny. Ive seen this movie about a zillion times and have only seen the octopus version like 2x. It's very rare to catch it, but sometimes they do show this version. It's not anything big, just weird if your use to the version w/out it.
