Towards the end of the movie after Dunbar asks Stands With A Fist why she is not married. Dunbar goes back to the fort and reads his journal.

While there he meets up with the wolf Two Socks and offers him some jerky.

The jerky is in the shape of a triangle. The shots go back and forth from Dunbar to Two Socks, when looking at Tow Socks the flat end of the jerky is towards Two Socks and when looking at Dunbar the point is towards Tow Socks.
