After Adam drives the miniature truck into Beetlejuice's foot ( who's trying to marry Lydia), Beetlejuice looks up and screams in terror. In the next scene, a sandworm comes busting through the ceiling. If it hadn't broken through yet, what was Beetlejuice screaming at?
I think he's either screaming in pain (how would you
feel if someone crashed a miniature truck in your foot)
or, since Beetlejuice is not of this world, he might
have x-ray vision or something.
Wait, wait, wait. I'm sorry, I was wrong. I saw the movie again last night on HBO, and you're right, he did look up at the ceiling before the sandworm came through it. This still isn't really a slip-up, though.
Wait a minute! Beetle juice was not the only one to look up first! Charles and Delia screamed first before Beetlejuice looked up and screamed and then the Sandworm broke through!
Beetlejuice had powers since he has the powers to rip off Ortho's suit and to turn into a carasel, then you never know he could have ESP too. The thing is if he had ESP then he would've known about the truck and when Barbara and Adam said the name "Beetlejuice."
