Right before Johnny B's gang shoot up the car Kip and Memphis are in, you see two shots of the interior. One with Mini van head rests, and another with the crappy car head rests they supposedly drove.
You beat me to it. But, yeah, you're absolutely right, first two shots of it are with carpet-like material narrow head rests which are raised from the seats, and the last shot is with massively wide old leather head rests which are flush against the seat!
