Batman - Magic Handprints

In the museum scene of batman, when they are vandalizing the paintings. one of the goons, puts handprints all over a painting, then in a following shot, the painting is in the background with no handprints, then in a scene following that, the handprints are back

The guy puts hand prints all over the painting and a second later in the very next shot it shows the same painting without the hand prints as the Joker knocks over the statue.
