When Sidney is leaving the police station out the back exit and Gale spots her - they have a conversation and Sidney punches Gale with her right hand on Gale's left cheek. When Gale falls back she is holding her right cheek and the next time you see her, the bruise is also on her right cheek. Whoops!
I just watched Scream this morning and the bruise Gale is covering up is on her left cheek.

Sidney uses her right hand to hit Gale on the left cheek. Gale is actually holding her left cheek when she gets up and the bruise is STILL on the left cheek later on in the next scene that Gale is in. It never changes. Watch it again. Sorry, but this isn't a slip-up.
