Recess - Bubble Gum

In the beginning Recess. Gus gets bubble gum stuck on his head. Vince kicks the ball and the ball gets stuck on Gus' head and then T.J takes the ball off Gus' head and holds it up and then Ms. Finster grabs it and tells them to go inside. While they are running inside, the bubble gum on Gus' head magically disappears! How could that happen in matter of second??
