Crow, The - Are They Really Stealing a Car?
In one scene, two of the criminals in the gang (that killed Eric and Shelley), are walking down the street. The one guy tells the other to go get beer and chips and to make it quick. Well, while he leaves to go do that, the other guy looks around and walks up to a car. He car jacks it and hops in. (He is obviously stealing the car.) He looks around it and sees wires. BUT WAIT! When Eric says I will be your passenger, the guy freaks out and says where to, do you want money, drugs, I got them....well Eric says to just drive. But then the guy pulls out keys and puts them in the ignition. Wasn't he just car jacking and stealing the car a moment earlier? Where did he get keys???

T-Bird isn't trying to jack that car. He owns it, he was probably trying to find something else, but if you look in the beginning of the movie, that's the same car everyone was in after they blew up the arcade games. And that's why T-bird had keys to his car.

Again, This is not a slip up on the movies part. It is on the viewer. He is not stealing the car. it is his. What he was reaching under the door for was the release switch for the door. As you noticed it did not have door handles. This is common with car enthusiasts to put a button under the door frame to release the door and shave off the door handles and make it smooth.

When T-Bird goes reaches under the car he is searching for a button, which unlocks the car door. Some older models have this lock switch on them.

T-bird is not stealing the car, it is his, what you are seeing him do is unlock it... With hot rods like those they jimmy them so there are no door handle or locks on the actual door, so it looks smooth, he is pressing a button under the door that unlocks it.
