I believe this happens just after the first armadillo eats it and Ben Affleck, bear, and the russian guy show up to save the day. You can clearly see a metal pipe get thrown off the top of the armadillo. I don't know how much gravity there is on the asteroid, but I do know that that pipe falls way too fast for it to be in space!!!
