Wizard of Oz, The - I Could Be Another Who?

In the movie "Wizard of Oz", when the Scarecrow is signing "If I only had a brain" just listen to the words. He says, "With the thoughts I'd be thinkin', I could be another Lincoln...". President Lincoln existed in the world of Oz? I find that a little strange.
