In the scene where the chandelier falls behind Col. Mustard, one can notice that he acts stunned like the chandelier crashed, when truly the chandelier hasn't even hit the ground yet.
Couldn't be from the gun firing, when he thought it was empty or the noise of the chandelier falling...

Again, bad special effects timing. The chandelier couldn't have possibly have really been there, they'd run the risk of shrapnel and all that. Plus, those things are EXPENSIVE. This wasn't a big budget movie, anyway. They probably filmed it without the chandelier there and just him reacting and added it in later.
