As Melissa is in the basement videotaping and she sees the doctors and nurses working on a patient, the crazy critter runs at her from her behind and (as we are led to believe) attacks her and kills her, leaving her video camera behind. When the others hear her scream, they rush to the basement, only to find a puddle of blood, that trails two feet into the room and just stops. The camera shows everyone looking around the room, and Sarah looking past the camera up onto the wall and up to the ceiling. When the camera zooms out, you see a spot of blood on the wall, that trails up to the ceiling and across the ceiling where Melissa was obviously devoured into the house. When the puddle of blood was first shown, however, there is no wall near it. The wall must have been at the least, three feet away from the puddle. How did Melissa, who was most likely bleeding, magically move three feet (or more) away to the wall? Shouldn't there be some sort of trail leading to the wall too? Interesting.
