As anyone that has seen this movie can probably remember, that girl monkey gets branded on her hand. But, in the future when she shows Lt Davidson (the human) the brand, you can clearly see that it is drawn on with some kind of pen or felt marker.
Uh, not quite. I'm assuming you're drawing this conclusion based on the fact that the symbol has a black outline. However, this IS an accurate depiction of a branding . . . the edges of the burn are black.
That's cool that you noticed that and all but did you expect them to actually burn their hand? It was probably always drawn on there and you just couldn't tell until that particular scene.
