When Sam is in the subway hes told to concentrate real hard and kick the coke can which is lying on the ground. When he kicks it his leg goes right through it and he hits the ground hard, but if you look closly at the can you can see it moving. Was there a sudden gust of wind in the subway I think not.
He probably managed to focus enough energy on the can to move it just a little bit, but hadn't yet learnt how to do it fully. More like good attention to detail than a slip up.
